Maine Community Solar Bill Credit Terms
Promotional Credit Eligibility Terms and Conditions for Non-LMI CMP Customers
General Information
Maine residents receiving electricity delivery service from Central Maine Power (“CMP”) who enroll for a community solar subscription with Energywell Community Solar, LLC d/b/a Think Community Solar (“Think Community Solar” or the “Company”) may be eligible to receive up to $300.00 in promotional credits on their initial Think Community Solar Invoice (the “Promotion”). Please read these Terms of Service (the “TOS”) carefully as the TOS contains eligibility requirements for this Promotion, as well as information as to how this Promotion works.
Definitions
“Bill Credits” means solar credits applied to your CMP bills reducing the amount of money that you owe to CMP that month.
“CMP” means Central Maine Power.
“Existing Customer” means a customer who enrolled for a community solar subscription with Think Community Solar on or before August 15, 2024.
“Initial Invoice” means the initial invoice you receive from Think Community Solar containing its charges for the Bill Credits received on your CMP invoice minus your customer discount.
“LMI Customer” means a low-to-moderate-income customer of Think Community Solar.
“New Customer” means a customer who enrolled for a community solar subscription with Think Community Solar on or after August 15th, 2024, but before 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on September 15, 2024.
“Customer” means a residential or small commercial non-demand customer with a utility rate class “A” or “SGS” that is not classified as a low-to-moderate income customer.
“Promotional Credits” credits applied to your Initial Invoice by Think Community Solar, reducing what you owe to Think Community Solar that month.
“Remaining Charges” means total amount due listed on your Community Solar Invoice after the application of credits by Think Community Solar.
“Second Invoice” means the second invoice you receive from Think Community Solar containing its charges for the Bill Credits received on your CMP invoice minus your customer discount.
“Total Charges” means the total amount due listed on your Community Solar Invoice.
How this Promotion Works
If you are eligible to take advantage of this offer, Think Community Solar, as a one-time promotion, shall place Promotional Credits on your Community Solar Invoice in an amount equal to 99% of your Total Charges, except that the monetary value of the credits placed on your Community Solar Invoice shall not exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00).

After the application of Promotional Credits to your Initial Invoice by Think Community Solar, you shall pay all Remaining Charges within twenty (20) days of the due date listed on your Initial Invoice. In addition, you shall pay all charges associated with your Second Invoice within twenty (20) days of the due date listed on your Second Invoice.
If you fail to pay all Remaining Charges within twenty (20) days of the due date listed on your INITIAL Invoice or if you fail to pay all charges associated with your Second Invoice within twenty (20) days of the due date listed on your Second Invoice, then Think Community Solar shall invoice you for the value of THE PROMOTIONAL CREDITS, all unpaid Remaining Charges (IF APPLICABLE), AND ANY OTHER APPLICABLE CHARGES (“Default”).
All payments to Think Community Solar shall be processed via your (i) checking account or (ii) credit cards provided by you during enrollment with Think Community Solar.
Expiration of this Promotion
This Promotion expires 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on September 15, 2024 (the “Expiration Date”). However, Think Community Solar may, without notice, cease to offer this Promotion prior to the Expiration Date if the Company has exhausted its available community solar capacity. You understand and acknowledge that community solar subscriptions are subject to limited availability.
Disclosures and Acknowledgements
Read this section carefully.
- You understand and acknowledge that Think Community Solar will work to digitally connect your home to a community solar project as soon as possible, however the timeline for connection will depend on your utility and availability of projects.
- You understand and acknowledge that Think Community Solar cannot guarantee that your home will be digitally connected to a project.
- You understand that the Promotion only guarantees a one-time application of Promotional Credits to your Community Solar Invoice, if you qualify as a Customer (defined above) and if you satisfy all eligibility requirements stated herein.
- You understand that the Company shall not provide you with cash, gift cards, or any other monetary compensation in lieu of Promotional Credits.
- You understand that, during enrollment, you must select either Automatic Clearing House (“ACH”) via your checking account or credit card as your preferred payment method.
- If you Default, you agree to pay Think Community Solar in an amount equal to the value of the Promotional Credits applied to your Initial Invoice, all unpaid Remaining Charges, and all other applicable charges.
Exclusions
- If you have not authorized Think Community Solar or, as applicable, its partners, to process payment(s) for Bill Credits via ACH or credit card, then you are not eligible for this promotion.
- If you are an Existing Customer (as defined above), then you are not eligible for this Promotion.
- If you are an LMI Customer, then you are not eligible for this promotion.
- If your electricity delivery company is not CMP, then you are not eligible for this Promotion.
- If you are a former customer of Think Community Solar or any of its affiliates, and if you have an outstanding balance or otherwise owe money to the Company or any of its affiliates, then you are not eligible for this Promotion.
Requirements for Promotion Eligibility
Provided that you are not excluded under the Exclusions section of these Terms of Service, you are eligible to participate in this Promotion if you meet the following criteria:
- You are a New Customer;
- CMP is your electricity delivery company;
- The account (or accounts) you enrolled with Think Community is classified by CMP as residential or small commercial non-demand customer with a utility rate class “A” or “SGS”;
- You have a valid email address on file with Think Community Solar, and
- You have authorized Think Community Solar to process payment(s) for Bill Credits via ACH or credit card and this authorization is active.
If you complied with all eligibility terms and conditions noted above and are not excluded under the relevant sections of this TOS, you are eligible for this Promotion.
